The Easy Way To Install A WordPress Blog In Minutes
The easiest way to start a web site is a blog. Installing a WordPress blog takes no longer than 5 minutes if you know the way to do it. It’s push buttons easy!
First of all you need a Domain Name and a cPanel Web Host. You can do this all in one step at BlueHost. After you get your domain name and cPanel, we’re ready to go!
Step 1
Log in to cPanel with the info provided by your host.
Here are some pictures of the cPanel interface.

Step 2
Scroll down the page till you come to the Fantastico icon.
Click on the icon.

Step 3
Scroll down the left navigation bar until you see WordPress.
Click on it.

Step 4
On the resulting page, click the “New Installation” link as shown in the graphic below.

Step 5
The next page has 6 blanks for you to fill in – the others are already done pre-filled by WordPress.
Read the short instructions about choosing a directory. I chose to install mine to a directory called ‘testblog’.
Once you have filled in the blanks, click the “Install WordPress” link.
You have to fill in the following blanks:
- Install in directory: the name of the directory where you want your blog installed.
- administrator username: choose your name.
- password
- description: give a description about your blog
- E-mail account username
- E-mail account password

Step 6
The next page gives you information about the MySQL database that will be created, the installation directory and the URL of your new blog. Take note of that information.
Next, click “Finish Installation”.

Installation Complete!
The following page confirms the installation and provides a link to the WordPress Administration Panel login. Fill in your email address to send the details about the installation to yourself.

WordPress Administration Panel Login
Login to your administration panel using the admin access data (username and password) that you chose. Note that the address for the admin panel will always be http://your-domain.com/your-blog-directory/wp-admin

The administration panel is where you will write and edit posts and pages, manage comments made on your blog, and adjust your blog’s theme. Take time to familiarize yourself with the funtionality of each panel. The WordPress Codex has a handy referal guide to help you.
