In this installment I want to cover establishing credibility, focus and attention to detail. These are three very important factors that will add to your overall success with Internet marketing or your home based business.

Credibility

Establishing credibility may be one of the most important things that you can do online. The reason for this is very simple. There have been a lot of scams and scammers that have come and gone over the years. Because of this, people are very wary of marketers. It’s just the way it is so get used to it. Therefore, in order to gain the trust of your prospects, you have to establish some credibility. How do you do this? Well, if you’re selling make money online products then you have to show that you’ve actually made money online. If you’re selling a natural acne cure then you have to show that you had acne and that it was cured. Before and after photos can do this. Point is, you must show credibility in some way or people simply will not trust you.

Focus

Focus is something that is very difficult for many people, especially those with ADD. My heart really goes out to those folks. I have friends with ADD and it’s not a pretty site. But that’s not the point of this article so forgive me for digressing. If you’re going to have success with your Internet business, you must learn to focus. That means working on ONE task and doing it to completion. You can’t allow yourself to become sidetracked by a bunch of things or you’ll never get anything done. There is no way to teach this. You simply have to discipline yourself to focus. Maybe you can reword yourself for completing a task by treating yourself to a movie or something. I do it all the time when I really don’t feel like working.

Attention To Detail

Attention to detail is so critical to success that I can’t stress it enough. You won’t believe how many sites I go to with spelling errors or links that don’t work. It’s disgraceful. You have got to pay attention to detail. That means proofing your work after it’s done. If you create your own info products, hire a proofreader if you don’t feel you’re capable of proofing it yourself. You’ll be surprised how many prospects won’t buy from you because your work is shoddy. By showing attention to detail, you show your professionalism. And people who show their professionalism make the most money. It’s that simple.

Establishing credibility, focus and attention to detail are three very important keys to having success online.
