Why I Love Affiliate Marketing – Part 3
By Jimmy D. Brown of “Affiliatenaire”
Some people have the ability to persuade others and talk them into just about anything. Especially when it comes to influencing their buying decisions. They know how to push the right hot buttons, say things the right way and generally get consumers into an emotional frenzy to the
point they are ready to click an order button.
There are two key words in that paragraph that really need to stand out in your mind: “some people”.

In regard to making money on the Internet, everyone is always looking for the quick fix. They want to sign up for a program, place an advertisement, and make hundreds or thousands of dollars instantly. While this may be possible depending on your circumstances, the most direct and guaranteed path to success on the Internet is to stick with the fundamentals.
A friend of mine who is an athletic coach for kids in the city where I live reminded me of this lesson. This guy is actually so passionate about kids and athletics that he coaches 4 different sports: basketball, soccer, baseball and football. Of course, he has a kid of his own on each team. But what is remarkable about this guy is the results he gets with his teams.

Because I’ve been running successful online businesses for many years, people always ask me how they can achieve a similar level of success. How can I build a high-traffic website? How can I make money online? What do I have to do to quit my day job? Will you mentor me?
These questions have always frustrated me.
The problem was that I couldn’t readily teach people to do what I do, at least not the way I do it. I’m too old school. I’ve been using the Internet since 1989, and I built my first income-generating website in 1995. Most of the money I’ve earned in my life has come from my online businesses. But my approach has been virtually unteachable. Believe me — I’ve tried. After delivering a few workshops on blogging, it became obvious to me that I couldn’t teach this. I was overwhelming people with more info than they could handle. People got excited by the ideas, but they couldn’t implement them. In truth there’s just way too much hidden complexity in my approach.
