I read a classic quote from Les Brown the other day. He said, “You don’t have to be great to get started, but you have to get started to be great.”

I really love that quote. I see so many people fluffing around pushing around ideas and looking for an easy road to riches online and it gets frustrating when you know the truth. I can assure you right now, it’s really tough to get rich online. However, it’s not very difficult to replace part or all of your day job income with some persistent and calculated work.

As they say, a journey of 1000 miles begins with a single step. From my experience, it seems that first step is the hardest for people to take. Most people are so busy constantly changing direction looking for the easier road that they end up not going anywhere.

The lifestyle of internet income is amazing.

You can earn money while you sleep because it’s running 24 hours a day, you get paid in advance because customers pay you first before accessing or getting your product, internet business allows you to leverage on systems, most of the tasks can be automated and a long list of goodies.
At the same time, it makes me very confused…

Why some people can become so rich on the internet while most of them, failed. I mean, they have bought great courses that show them step-by-step — so what’s the problem?

I’m sure the courses work unless they’re scams. Although, some bought into scams but assuming that they got themselves the real deal. The simplest way to differentiate a real deal or not is to see whether the course creator/owner is an expert in what he teaches and have proven result to show you.

This one is for the newbies that have no idea what RSS, XML and syndication are?whoa, confusing already isn?t it!

Definitions

It wasn?t much longer then six months ago that I had no idea what these terms were. I understood what XML was because I had read a book about it but I had no idea how it all worked with syndication of content. Just as I learnt how trackbacks work by actually using them I did the same with syndication. I also took the time to read the definitions of the terms and as usual the Wikipedia entries on XML, RSS, Web Syndication and Web Feed are a good place to start.
