Many people who are trying to dream up a domain name for their business discover just how common a unique idea might be. Welcome to the web! Trying to find a domain name that has not been taken is classic needle in a haystack. You can short-cut the process by doing your keyword research first.
If you know what search terms people are using to find your products and services you can back your way into a domain name that gets more credit in those searches. And that’s just the beginning of understanding how to take an idea online.
What I have also come to discover is that there is a proliferation of people out there with great ideas and many of them may even have an idea similar to yours. EXECUTION is what turns an idea into an enterprise. And that is what separates the men from the boys (and the girls from the women).

One of the most common questions I’m getting these days is “how should I measure the value of all the social marketing things we’re doing like Twitter, Linked-in, Facebook, etc.?”
My answer: WHY are you doing them in the first place? If you can’t answer that, you’re wasting your time and the company’s money.
Sounds simple I know, but I’m stunned at how unclear many marketers are about their intentions/expectations/hypotheses for how social media initiatives might actually help their business. In short, if you can’t describe in two sentences or less (no semi-colons) WHAT you hope to gain through use of social media, then WHY are you doing it? Measurement isn’t the problem. If you don’t know where you’re going, any measurement approach will work.

Network Marketing is a great industry. It can be even more rewarding if you are fortunate enough to find an excellent product line with a stable company. Maximizing your financial rewards through the compensation plan can certainly be achieved if you take time to really understand your income opportunity – and especially the residual benefits.
As with any serious business endeavour, you should take time to develop a concise business plan which includes your marketing strategy. You will no-doubt have some key insight into a few of the specific elements of your opportunity, because there was obviously something there that interested you enough to get involved. The “hook” that brought you in, is most likely a key interest for you – so you will likely utilize that interest in your own recruiting efforts.
Key Point: take time to establish a serious business plan which will include your marketing strategy and perhaps your financial goals.

In regard to making money on the Internet, everyone is always looking for the quick fix. They want to sign up for a program, place an advertisement, and make hundreds or thousands of dollars instantly. While this may be possible depending on your circumstances, the most direct and guaranteed path to success on the Internet is to stick with the fundamentals.
A friend of mine who is an athletic coach for kids in the city where I live reminded me of this lesson. This guy is actually so passionate about kids and athletics that he coaches 4 different sports: basketball, soccer, baseball and football. Of course, he has a kid of his own on each team. But what is remarkable about this guy is the results he gets with his teams.
He was recruited to coach the 8th grade football team where his children go to school. After 27 years of losing seasons in a row, the first year my friend became the head coach the team won the district championship and repeated their championship run the following year. This past weekend he coached 12 different games and won all 12 of them. As you can tell, this guy is extremely dedicated.

I was checking my voice mail yesterday and received a message that was short and sweet. It said: “My name is Ken Shapiro. I’m the writer, director, producer and star of the motion picture ‘The Groove Tube’. Please call me back at
…”
Interesting. The writer, director, producer and star of a motion picture?
My curiosity was aroused so I went to Google and looked up “The Groove Tube”. I discovered that Ken Shapiro was indeed all of the things he said he was and that Chevy Chase, a very famous American actor, had is debut film appearance in the movie. My mind determined that Ken Shapiro was a force to be reckoned with so I gave him a call.
