Wordpress version 2.8 is only a few days old and some bloggers are already up in arms and complaining. And from what I have seen over on wordpress.org the ones complaining are the ones who failed to follow the upgrade instructions.

That little nagging “New version of wordpress is now available, click here to upgrade” should be disabled was one of the sighted issue as a problem.

If you are in the habit of one click installs and upgrades then I am sorry to say, you are going to run into problems and some of these problems could seriously ruin your blog. I read a classic quote from Les Brown the other day. He said, “You don’t have to be great to get started, but you have to get started to be great.”

I really love that quote. I see so many people fluffing around pushing around ideas and looking for an easy road to riches online and it gets frustrating when you know the truth. I can assure you right now, it’s really tough to get rich online. However, it’s not very difficult to replace part or all of your day job income with some persistent and calculated work.

As they say, a journey of 1000 miles begins with a single step. From my experience, it seems that first step is the hardest for people to take. Most people are so busy constantly changing direction looking for the easier road that they end up not going anywhere.
