The Secret to Writing Great Sales Pages
It’s really easy to make money online when you know the secrets. First off get your hands on some great MRR software, stuff that you have the rights to sell. Next, rewrite the sales page using the tips given in this article. Thirdly start writing articles and acquiring backlinks from various sites.
So, you’ve downloaded your chosen software, now what? Well, for starters it’s possible to get some great MRR software that will just sell and sell on auto pilot, trouble is the sales pages can be so badly written as to be almost illiterate. Your first task is to rewrite the sales page using a tried and trusted formula.
The Headline
The headline should be the boldest and most noticeable part of the text and should be designed to relay a single message to the potential customer. It should say “Hey you! This article was written especially for you” If it doesn’t do that one task it has failed.
Another thing to bear in mind is we are NOT talking about you. Leave your ego out of your sales page, your prospect doesn’t give a hoot about you, he only cares about whether or not you have what he wants. It’s the old “what’s in it for me”?
If you insist on having a logo or picture of yourself, make it small and unobtrusive. The most important thing is the headline.
The Sub-Header
Next, you need to place a sub-header which will draw them in looking for some kind of evidence that they really are in the right place. Remember you are talking about the prospect here and make sure you talk in the singular, you and yours. NEVER be tempted to talk to your audience as a group, you will lose them faster than ‘a knife fight in a phone booth’.
Start your text with something nice and friendly… Dear Friend, Dear Fellow Marketer. It stands to reason that you would never denigrate a customer. Only the RichJerk could start a sales letter with something like Dear Spotty.
The Body
The body of the sales letter will draw the prospect in more and entice them to read the rest of the text. Avoid trying to sell too early, this is a common but fatal flaw. Your objective is simply to encourage them to read the whole of the sales letter.
Ask some questions that show that you understand the problems the prospect is facing. Bullet them like so…Do you find it difficult to make ends meet? Would you like to start earning twice or three times more money, right away?
You are aiming to make the prospect answer yes. It is called pacing and leading and is an NLP technique. You pace the prospect by asking questions which cause them to answer yes, this gets them into yes mode. You then lead them into saying yes naturally to your pitch.
Include a story about yourself, this should relate to the thing you are selling but should also outline the problems you had, the way you felt, the solution you found and how this could work for the prospect.
Show them that you understand how they feel and reassure them that it is not their fault.
Wrap up your offer with a re-statement of your offer and a call to action. ‘Enter your details in the box below and you will receive instructions right away’.
If you use graphics on your page you should limit them to one or two and they should be relevant to the text.
And that’s about it.
The main thing to remember is that you should be always talking about the customer not yourself. Even if you have written the greatest piece of software ever. Don’t tell your customers how great you are, tell them how you understood their needs and wrote it especially for them.
Use this formula and some good PLR software or ebooks and you could be selling online tomorrow.
